Special menu for today, must try, delicious, so yummy and very recommended place to have a lunch on Ubud.Curry de pork rice with potatoes & acar. Caramel creme custard with brown sugar & coconut milk.Owned by a Lovely n Friendly French Lady with a nice staff and good service.

We have contacted the restaurant on two occasions and have received unfriendly reception. The phone number has been changed but not updated so a very disappointing experience. Perhaps the food is great but the service is rude.

Visited a second time (lunch) after failing to get a table the first time (supper). We waited over 15 minutes to get a table. Unfortunately, this place has a very poor table management/reservations system. The place could do with air conditioning or at least a few more fans. The food menu is very narrow albeit the selection changes daily. So you'll have to pick whatever is on offer regardless of your preferences. The food was okay but perhaps not worth the wait - thus the place is slightly overrated. There are better choices in the same street so choose wisely. Overall, if it is an effort to get a table then go elsewhere.

We'd read great reviews about this place and were excited to go. We'd also read that it got busy and we needed to make a reservation, so we did.It's a nice spot just off the main drag. It's modern yet casual with a buzzing vibe.On arrival we were greeted and we gave our name for our reservation. Turned out our reservation had been entered in their book at a different time.We started to explain what we had actually booked when the owner jumped in and asked what had happened and then immediately said that we'd made a mistake, and that their staff always double check details so it had to be our mistake.This was abrupt and defensive which got my back up as I was with my partner when she made the booking and I heard her repeat and confirm the time we believed we were booking. That and the fact that she just told us we’d made a mistake right off the bat without even hearing us out. It was rude.There was a bit of back and forth about it. We were eventually offered a table but it was offered to us with 'well it's your mistake but you're the customer so I'm sure we can accommodate you'. Mistakes happen, that’s fine, but the way this was dealt with was poor.We wanted to eat here as we'd heard good things and it was that time of night where we weren’t sure where else we'd get a table so we decided to stay, but this had already ruined the experience.We sat at our table and almost immediately were presented with a large blackboard menu and asked to choose. We felt rushed into choosing our dishes. We didn’t get a chance to really take in the menu.While waiting for our meals we noticed three other tables were empty during the wait, so wondered what all the fuss was about.Our meals arrived and to be fair they were quite nice. My dish was a bit westernised but I still enjoyed it. Good portions, fresh, tasty and very reasonably priced.But unfortunately we just wanted to eat and go after the treatment we received. A real shame and really disappointing that this was our experience here.

I can see why this place is so popular. A limited menu with what they do they do well. My chicken curry with coconut milk and noodles was tasty but not at all spicy, but I guess mefium spice can be subjective. It does get busy so book if you can.
