    It was one of those evenings when your parents decided to take a night stroll. They had nothing in their minds about what to eat; Neither did my girlfriend and I. PIK was a great choice. Thanks to website, we found this place easily according to our preferences. It matched perfectly..with a slight doubt. Our doubt came when we opened the menu...there was no price list.A Southern Chinese restaurant always offers mesmerising seafood dish. My first impressions seemed alright; family gatherings, round tables, just right portions, steamed fish, and quick and helpful waitresses. Yes, the price was indeed quite steep–you paid the price. We ordered sautéed ginseng leaves, Steamed "Tongkol" Fish, and Udang Goreng telur asin. We couldn't stop munching. The food stood by itself with their tastes, but it was a great experience (for my dad especially). The highlight was that ginseng. Texture wise, matched with its desirable taste. While the Udang goreng, well, it was the kick for us at least. We took some home and had it for breakfast. It was still good. The fish was fresh and tender. Mom had the whole head, it was delicious she said. Happy tummy, happy family.

    The owner happens to be a friend of mine. You might think that I am biased but you would be dead wrong. The things that keep me coming back are the ultra-delicious clams and top-notch service. The food is a little pricey but I can assure you that it's worth every penny.

    Baru kemarin malem makan disini. Pesan ikan bakar (lupa nama ikannya), lumpia udang, sama cah sayur ala cya thay. Semua makanannya enak. Tapi sayang ga sebanding sama harganya yg mahal banget, porsinya juga kecil.

    One day, boyfriend and I were invited to try this restaurant since the owner was an acquaintance of boyfriend's family. On the first look, Cya Thay looked like an ordinary chinese/cantonese restaurant in Pantai Indah Kapuk. There were nothing fancy on the decor, though the dining area was spacious. It turned out that I was mistaken.The owner generously picked the restaurant's signature dished especially for us. I have to say that there were nothing ordinary in these dishes:Pork MeatballConsists of 10 pieces of pork meatball drenched in a heavenly golden broth. There were 2 types of meatball, one was original pork meatball and the other one was mixed with green onion. I loved the green onion meatball better since it had a stronger distinctive flavor. As I mentioned earlier, the broth was heavenly delicious! Savory, salty, with taste of real chicken stock. It was perfect!Fried Pork Pai Kut (ribs)It was boyfriend's favorite because it was pork ribs, fried. Extremely sinful, and extremely delicious! The ribs were cut into tiny bits and then deep fried into crispy cubes. Unfortunately the meat was still attached into the bones which made it kind of inconvenient to eat.Cya Thay Special ChickenMuch like hainanese boiled chicken, but this one was boiled in perfection and special seasoning. I could acclaim it since the taste was so divine, even the appearance was outstanding. The chicken was tender and deeply flavorful, and though we had a whole chicken for share, it was not enough.Drunken PrawnActually I'm not sure about the name of this dish. It was prawns boiled in alcohol, so I guess it was "Udang Mabok"? Anyway regardless of the unknown name, the prawn was extremely fresh and huge! The liquor juice was unbelievable, and they also served it with a liquor dipping. Luckily we did not got drunk that night.We also had Hoi Som (Sea Cucumber) Crab Soup, which I didn't try since I'm not a Hoi Som eater, so I could not review. All of the dishes we tried were lavish yet nutritious, and I believe there were fair trade in between price and food quality. From what I learned, the chef behind Cya Thay was originally from Hong Kong. This explained why the dish was quite extravagant and pricey. If you are a fan of chinese food, come and see for yourself if Cya Thay is really worth it...

    Always came here for the boiled shrimp in a hot stone style. Rajungan and paikut are also very delicious. One of the best chinese restaurant around pantai indah kapuk
