The setting of the hallway as I enter, gives me a feeling of english colonial era, but as I enter the the room I can see that they are very japanese the room is filled with japanese decoration and a small zen garden. As an appetizer they gave me a croquet that is simply cooked near perfection. The soup is a crean corn soup and as expected it was tasty, but a bit too sweet and it affect the aroma a little. The soup was also too watery for a cream soup. The hot ocha have great taste and aroma. The Hokkaido scallop was seasoned with pepper and salt. The taste was not disturbed and it was glazed with sea urchin sauce. As I taste the scallop, I feel a lack of taste. There was no taste in the spaghetti, but when you mixed it with the tomato the taste come to life and the taste was amazing. The flounder fish is amazing the chef cooked it until it was as soft as a tofu. The flounder is cooked to perfection and as soon as you poke the meat with your chopstick the meat will split. The sirloin steak which originated from Japan itself has a beautiful marble texture. The taste of the sirloin steak was spectacular and it is to die for the aroma of the steak is perfected by the chef, which made me fall in love with the meat. The rice was cooked with two omega egg. The yolk of the egg was bright orange, brightest orange I have ever seen. The taste of the rice mixed with the egg is extraordinary. The miso soup aroma and taste is delicious.

ebeya steakhouse is one of the high end japanese restaurant in jakarta.. they have alacarte and the set meals as well.. i came here with my family and order the set which contain their best ingredient such as japanese beef, abalone,and assorted sashimi.. the abalone is cook with perfection, the japanese beef have a lot of fat because i think they use a5 japanese beef.. the sashimi is fresh although some of it they use a bit cheaper ingredient.. but overall my experience in ebeya is good..

The worst dining experience in Jakarta. The waitress guided us inside and we sat down and began ordering. Price was quite steep so https:/ took the middle-priced set menu, which cost 650,000 per head. The waitress told us that the beef wasn't ready. We stepped up one notch and asked for the 750,000 per head lunch menu. Same here, she said that the beef was also unavailable. The only lunch set menu available was 1,000,000 per head. If the ingredients were not ready, she should have informed us before we even walked in and better yet, they shouldn't have opened the restaurant for the day. Totally un-Japanese and we walked out with a very bad experience.

Having Japanese lunch in a very fancy way! The cook made the food in front of me, and the taste was sooooo incredible! 😍 I ordered the ladies menu, and none of them was bad. Everything is super! Worth the price!

We went to Ebeya a few month ago and loved the restaurant! We went with a family of 5 and we got a private room. Service and food was excellent, definitely a memorable dinner, and Ebeya is a must-visit for all teppanyaki lovers in Jakarta. Ordered the menu with foie-gras and it is perfectly cooked, as well as the beef, and the seafood. The chefs were very friendly, and the food preparation and presentation is magnificent. My mom ordered the set with fresh sashimi, flown directly from Tokyo. All in all, it is an awesome restaurant and would definitely recommend anyone who doesn't mind spending an extra penny or two for quality japanese food.

I tried to look around for good teppanyaki in jakarta but i couldn't get any other answer than this restaurant. Guess this is still the best teppanyaki so far. They serve woman lunch set for only 500k rupiah and the portion is just perfect, salad, beef teppanyaki, and dessert.

Great teppanyaki with melt-in-your-mouth Kobe beef. The service is superb. With that said, be prepared to pay the price. Compared to other teppanyaki places in Jakarta, dining in Ebeya is kinda pricey, but totally worth it.

it's such a different experience having the chef making your special meal right in front of you! I liked it a lot (thumb)!Been here around 5 months ago, and all I had was an overall-great experience! I ordered a ladies set menu. They made me a fish & scallop salad, a very warm - melted - juicy Kobe beef teppanyaki, vegetable salad, and something like coconut pudding for the dessert! Really worth the price! :)

Came here to celebrate our 8th year anniversary. In my opinion this is the best teppanyaki restaurant in Indonesia. I've not tried Kahyangan Teppanyaki though. The portion of the beef is too small.
