Udah lama ga kesini. Berasa pilihan makanannya berkurang. Dimsum cm ada bakpau dan dumpling, tidak ada siomay dan hakao, pilihan asian cuisine cm ada india. Peking duck jg tidak keliatan lagi. Tidak ada menu yg paling favorite. Semua standard

Had my dinner here tonight (February 29th of 2020).Sebelumnya, pernah kesini sekali sekitar pertengahan 2019. So I already know my standards here. Jadi, lumayan ok lah untuk balik kesini.Tapi somehow, hari ini gradenya sedikit menurun. 1. Pasta Waktu kemarin, nyoba cream cheesenya jadi hari ini semangat pengen nyoba aglio olionya. Gak taunya kata chefnya lagi unavailable, gak tau deh abis atau apa. Jadi terpaksa nyobain cream cheesenya lagi. Sedikit bland, terus yang sedikit bikin kesel adalah pastanya ada yang undercooked. 2. Nasi gorengnya enak, bumbunya pas, no complaint here.3. Steaknya hari ini pun lagi enak, tapi sayangnya pas balik lagi ke stationnya udah abis jadi diganti kambing yang maaf rasanya kurang banget dibanding sapinya.4. Sushinya biasa, ngantri tapi gak begitu lama, standar. Seafood pun begitu.5. Bakso dan satenya rame banget jadi gak sempet nyobain karena keburu kenyang.6. Desserts are good! Overall, masih boleh banget dicoba. Karena berdasarkan experience yang 2019, oke banget kok Satoo ini. Mungkin karena lagi rame banget ya berhubung malam Minggu.

One of the best hotel buffets in Jakarta, and its getting better with the BCA or members promo.The covid protocol is surprisingly not so good. The gloves, mask and face shield for tabel attendant while the chefs at each stall use gloves and mask. Nontheless the table distancing is almost non-existence while the place is too crowded.The foods are unquestionable (both in quality and taste). For starters we have gazpacho, beef rollade and salad. The gazpacho is more like a drink than soup (it's unique and quite refreshing), beef rollade and salads are ok. The portions are small, which make them perfect to start the meal.For the meals we have satays, assorted sushi and salmon sashimi, assorted Indian foods, dim sum, siomay Bandung, teppanyaki, mie bakso spesial and short ribs.In general we love all the meals, with the teppanyaki, Indian and satays are the obvious highlights. The meats are so tender (satays and teppanyaki) with perfect balance of saltiness (teppanyaki).The Indian have decent amount of options, with enough spice to remind you that you're eating Indian foods but not overwhelming to leave the taste hours afterward. The lamb is so good and tender with no smell at all.The sushi and sashimi (although simple) are made of top quality seafood and salmon. You can taste the freshness of the shrimp and fish.The short ribs and dim sum is a bit of letdown. The short ribs on the outset looks so appealing, but when you taste it, really nothing special (a bit chewy as a matter of fact).The dim sum is a mix of (plain) pao, shiumai and dumpling. The pao is soft but that's just about it. Just plain and tasteless, which I have to add the curry from the Indian to add a bit taste to it. The shiumai and dumpling are ok but a bit dry for me.For the local taste, we have siomai Bandung and mie bakso spesial, and they are good for hotel standard. Although less authenthic than the one you can find in Abang Gerobak, but they taste good nonetheless.For dessert we have assorted fruit plater, assorted fruit in soursoup juice, kelepon, chocolate lava cake and ice cream.Surprisingly the fruits in the fruit plater just so-so, while the pineaple and watermelon are sweet, the others just too bland. The soursoup juice is too strong (which if you like it, you have to have it), and you can't taste the fruits inside.The kelepon is really good that we need to have more. The chocolate lava cake is too sweet for our liking, the lava is melting perfectly (which is good), but it's just not for us.The ice cream is really nice to close our course. We have the matcha, mango and chocolate ice creams and all of them are up to the standard (too bad they don't have the pandan flavor today).We would give 5 stars if it's not for the service. The chefs in some stalls do not even try to be nice and courteous at all (shout out to teppanyaki, Indian and dim sum stall).The teppanyaki is the worst. When we ask about the yakimeshi (since it's written on the board), he said that there's yakimeshi....and do nothing afterward...and left us wondering how the hell we can get the damn yakimeshi. After a while, we just left the stall and forget about the yakimeshi.All in all no doubt that we will return to Satoo again, but it will be best if they can show better service and courtesey like a 5 stars hotel should and would, and we also recommend you to come to Satoo for a great hotel buffet.
