    Did I mention that InterContinental Jakarta Midplaza has got itself a formidable, new executive chef? Yes, the Italian gentleman Mr Gianluca Visciglia successfully brings a new breeze to the hotel's legacy of good food.That night, he took us on a ride with Scusa's new menu for this year.We had a pleasant encounter before. During my interview with him for The website Magazine, the chef had already introduced me with some of the most rustic Italian dishes and he did marvelously well with that. Now it's high time to know his five-star style that he devised for Scusa as one of Jakarta's premiere Italian restaurants.-----ANTIPASTI>> Antipasto misto di pesce A platter that consists of fish carpaccio with rosemary, octopus terrine with citrus, tuna tartare with fennel sauce, and seared scallop with orange mustard sauce>> Chestnut cappuccino, pistachio crusted foie gras praline, and warm croissant The antipasti was an exciting one. I was simply astonished with the presentation of the mixed seafood platter. Each component was carefully made and placed.The highlights went for the octopus terrine in terms of uniqueness and to the seared scallop for my personal preference. Some may find this appetizer is meant for those with acquired taste but for me, this is like exploring the ocean with style!-----PRIMI & SECONDI>> Spaghetti tossed with crab in fresh cherry tomato sauce and basil>> Porcini mushroom crusted veal tenderloin with apple and mashed potato, black truffle sauce, and sauteed vanilla carrotsWhile the spaghetti may seem straightforward, the chef however made it so flavorful and enticing with the appearance of the crab. The rich taste of this pasta dish was so motivating and boosted me to get ready with such enthusiasm for the steak.For the secondi, as expected, the veal was simply perfect. Chef Gianluca successfully married it with the truffle sauce and the other sidekicks. Again, it appeared straightforward but steaks are sometimes meant to be like that. It was a formula for success!-----To sum it all up, I am looking forward to see the course Scusa is heading now. With Chef Gianluca at its helm, I bet both classic Italian dishes and intelligent, modern dishes that he devises every day may bring wonder to this long-standing Italian restaurant.His cheerful and energetic personality also brings the spirit for the kitchen team, the food, and the guests as well. There's nothing else that I would ask other than that. Additionally, I heard that he will bring his own spirit also for Rasa and that surely piqued my interest already.Until our next encounter then, Chef!

    I love the interior with all red and the place is cozy. Perfect for date or just dinner with some friends. It's recommended to make reservation first before come here. The food is great. For starter try the minestrone soup (forget the name coz most Italian menu hard to spell) it's rich a d creamy and taste so delicious. For paste I ve tried ravioli with spinach and some mushrooms. The ravioli perfectly cooked and the filling just great. Perfect portion. For pasta I don't think you can share cause the portion is small but for me just the perfect amount. Pizza, here I try the classic Margherita, it's awesome. The thin crust pizza with the generous topping of cheese and nice balance of the tomato paste just perfect. It's classic and delicious. I love it. Unfortunately I don't try dessert here cause my full stomach.. Just have hot capucino that served with biscotti. The coffee is rich and not to foamy which I love for perfect cappuccino. It's good place with great ambiance to have this nice and delicious dinner with your loved ones.

    gw ke sini pesan pizza tuscany, dengan ham yg diganti beef.Porsi nya besar, beef nya jg enak.Tapi untuk gw terlalu garing pizzanya.Untuk dessert pesan mocca bread pudding.Disajikan dalam cangkir dan rasanya enak.Gw rasa cukup untuk berdua kalau sudah kenyang.Overall...rasanya enak, pelayanan ramah, dan tempat nya juga nyaman.Btw gw bisa menikmati makanan Scusa ini walaupun gw berada si Jimbaran.

    Italian resto favorite .. menu andalan Pasta , pizza bs di share krn porsinya banyak. selain itu kalo suka fish pun rasanya special . Menu disini ga sama dngn resto2 itali kebanyakan . rasanya Tasty & unik .

    Gw kesini pesen penne salmon baked gitu deh lupa nama aslinya, cuma enak banget. Dan porsinya sangat mengenyangkan, jadi worth it.Kalo kesini sama temen2, wajib pesen pizzanya. Tipis, enak dan andalan bgt deh.Ohiya, bagi yg suka minum, wine-nya juga ok punya kok disini. Lengkap dari white dan red wine nya.Selamat mencoba!
