This is my first review in website. And i would like to dedicate it to this GREAT PLACE. *if the terms "hidden gem" is inappropriate, since this place have been there for a while :))Came here for the Paella, fell in love with their Sangria. They got various kinds of wine and spirit. With affordable price! *compared to any other restaurants who serve alcohol beverages.A glass of Sangria is under IDR 100k, and it worth every penny.Ask their friendly waiters for their recommended Tapas. Heads up, you might need to order more than one. *ask them about how big the portion is.Paella, Goood... The Tapas which i forgot what the names are, Gooood... Sangria.. GOOOOD...!

Visited this restaurant for the first time last night. We previously lived nearby Plan B, which is also a Spanish restaurant serving similar foods, it was a favorite of ours to visit over the last couple of years. Have to say that the quality of the food, and skill which has gone into preparing the dishes we tried at Tapas Movida, are far higher than that we have tasted at Plan B. We really enjoyed all our dishes and will certainly return to try more!All of the dishes here were authentic in taste, well thought out, very flavorful combinations, and expertly cooked. Some more unique menu items than those offered in Plan B also. As a basic comparison the gambas ajillo here were served in a butter sauce with cream, fresh chillis and garlic. Although perhaps more traditional, the prawns are merely cooked in butter with garlic at Plan B. Both delicious, but for us we felt that the Tapas movida option were better value for money (more skill required, better taste versus portion/price similar) and much more flavorful. They also gave us a generous extra serving of bread to finish the sauce with. Something we once asked for at plan B and were told we would be charged for. Another note, about the sangria here, you can have a large pitcher of the traditional sangria for 200k. It's not spiked with spirits (you need to order the deluxe version for that, which will cost you more) but the taste is delicious, quite sweet but refreshing, and it's served with fresh fruits (Orange, apple, pear) which you can eat after you finish. Highly recommend you get a jug! A unique menu item which we really loved was the scotch egg, made with chicken, but otherwise as good, if not better than any scotch egg I've eaten before. It was freshly cooked to perfection, yolk just cooked enough to be a tiny bit runny still. Seems a funny thing to find in Jakarta, but it was so delicious, we're not complaining. Would like the chef to add the option of a pork version to the menu!Paella was markedly better that that at plan B. We never had any issue with plan B paella, in fact, we always enjoyed it. But as soon as we tried this one, the difference was very clear. I tasted it and it took me back to Spain - all those amazingly flavorful and moist paellas. I think it was mainly down to more seasoning, generous topping of peppers and beans, and the great quality chorizo used that infuses the dish with its distinctive smokey flavor! Absolutely worth ordering!The service from the staff here was also something positive, they spoke great English, enough to share a little joke with, and were very helpful and polite. Appreciated the warm friendly atmosphere.The place itself could do with a little touch up in places, the tables look very worn out, maybe some crisp white table cloths would elevate the place and brighten it up. But it did feel cosy and romantic with the dim lighting and candles - they're a nice touch. Much more preferable to the brightly lit cafe feeling at Plan B, especially if you're on a date! Nice air conditioned temperature too, not too cool or too hot.Overall, we were very impressed with our whole dining experience here. This place offers great value for money and a very satisfying and delicious Spanish experience. Hopefully it is consistent - we'll certainly be returning to find out!

Dining here was an unforgettable experience. I was there around 2 months ago but just got the chance to write a review now, and I still remember feeling satisfied after dining there. I came there with a colleague during lunchtime. Some of the items that we ordered were Broccoli, apple, and bacon salad; Mini hamburgers; Mini guacamole burgers with roasted corn, mango, and pepper salsa; and Churrelado. We ordered some more but I can't remember what they are, but they are all superb. The only downside is the portion size, it's so small. Maybe it was supposed to be like that, but still, a bit bigger portion would be nicer :pFood 4.5/5Ambiance 4/5Service 4/5

Good food and good ambience. It was my first time trying an authentic Spanish food and surprisingly I really like it! Good service as well, I was accompanied by their lovely restaurant manager and she served us really friendly.

Have been here bcs my boyf play keys with his band on Friday night, jadi sambil nemenin dia sambil makan. Order "Patata Wedges" & "Ice Lychee". Ga nyangka potato wedges yg dateng ukurannya lumayan besar (utk gue bisa buat makan malem), rasanya enaaaaaak, karena ga cuma sekedar digoreng aja tapi dikasih sauce yang yummy! Ice lychee nya standard, ukurannya pas. Last, order Cappuccino (as coffee lover hehe). Suasananya enak buat romantis2an atau buat hangout sama temen2. Bakalan dateng lagi kesini buat nyobain makanan yang lain! ;)

I visited Tapas Movida to try their Spanish delicacies. I’ve spot this place several months ago and only now I have the time to visit. I’ve always love Spanish food especially Paella. A rice dish regarded as Spain’s national dish. Now, it is famous all over the world. According to Lourdes March – a Spanish food historian – Paella “symbolizes the union and heritage of two important cultures, the Roman, which gives us the utensil and the Arab which brought us the basic food of humanity for centuries”

It's been a while since we had dinner here. I am happy to say that they managed to cook their meals consistently good..I thought they had some renovation before, but possibly they only paint the building exterior to a more catchy colors with bulls painting. Interesting!However, these are my review;Kebab de pollo (25K ++) was delivered by the Chef himself. He said he made the bacon by himself.. And no surprise, it was great! Tender and chewy with savory taste. Definitely worth to try.Paella Pollo y chorizo for 2 pax (200K ++) has a huge portion even for 2! Do not compare with sides paella at FISH & **, cuz it's definitely different. It took about 30 mins to prepare this meal, and it's worth the wait. I think this 2 pax portion is actually can be shared with 4 persons, especially if you order other meals.We were on diet (Oh REALLY?!?), so we cut down the desserts this time. Maybe next time we will visit for tapas and desserts only. The downside of this restaurant was the tax! Heee... 21% was quite much, don't you think?

Churros'nyaaa enaaaak 😍😋👍👌 kesini pas jam buka puasa. Buka puasa dengan gigitan churros, very perfect!!! Paella'a juga enaaak... Suasananya, so so comfy.

Tapas movida is so damn good! I love the churros mix with cold machiato, ohhh so damn good, maybe will come again to eat the churros again 😂
