This Friday is so awkward at office, usually by noon many colleagues were gathering in basement discussing where to eat. Somehow, being many of us last working day this year, people either still working or had lunch already.Feeling a bit sad not having mates for lunch, I walked to office canteen which food were boring although very cheap.Suddenly a group of 4 were walking outbound so I asked to join. We then head to Teraskota Mall across our office and apparently they were meeting client who invited for lunch.So from no mates to lunch become free lunch with client. My medium Aussie Tenderloin was perfect, very tender and juicy.Just a thought... Gandy still serves steaks on hot plate, which ok for well done steaks but not for non well done steaks cause it will still cook while we eat.

Terakhir kesini, pesan sop buntut, selain pesan steak.Kecewa dengan rasa sop buntutnya dan dagingnya.Agak malas kembali lagi...Padahal biasa enak, roti pembukanya juga favorit anak.

Favourite steak restaurant so far di bsd. Rasa oke dan harga juga ok untuk ukuran steak. Pelayanan oke , kita dapet conpliment bread with butter.

restoran ini punya menu US tenderloin steak dgn saus mushroom yang khas banget... serving diatas hotplate dan dilengkapi dgn acar bawang merah dan tabasco... mantapppp... roti pembuka nya juga enakkk... dari kecil udah langganan (jaman di menteng dan hayam wuruk) hingga skrg klo plg dr kantor lewat teraskota pasti sempetin ke resto Gandy ini... :-)

If you ask me, or those generations before me, about steaks diner in Indonesia, Gandy will definitely be one of them. They are one of the first (if not the first) steak restaurants in Indonesia. I still remembered the first time I tried it was long long time ago when I was still a kid; and I ate it again in their Menteng branch just 2 years ago. The store in Teras Kota is called Gandy Bistro. Ambience wise is nice, like most family restaurants. I love the dark interior colors, giving the restaurant a really bold look & feel. If you bring your parents along with you who ate Gandy steak during its first years, you might notice something mind-blowing here; the SAME store manager from years years ago is actually still around! He was so kind and warm, greeting the guests one by one in the table; talking about loyalty huh?Here's the food that I had:Gandy Steak Combination:A plate of Gandy's Tender Beef Steak, paired with their breaded Chicken Steak, poured with a choice of available sauces that they have. In my case, I chose their butter sauce. I had the beef grilled into well-done. The beef was so tender and smooth, although in few of its parts, it's still a little rubbery. The chicken was also nice. The batter wasn't too thick but the meat was tender.The sauce that I chose was the Gandy Butter sauce. The flavor was savory with A LOT of butter-y flavor, and it's also very greasy and oily. Well of course, it's a butter sauce, what can you expect?By the way, upon entering the store, they serve us with a bread and butter. I add the butter on my steak as well, to give it an extra flavor. But the bread was actually quite nice, with a smooth texture and a friendly subtle plain flavor.Needless to say, for me, Gandy is still one of the best places around if you're in the mood for steaks; especially Indonesian ones. Price wise was also quite affordable for its meal; mine costs around IDR 100k, which is actually quite reasonable for the meal I got.

I LOVE their service, ambience and the foods. The taste of the steak is soft and juicy, their welcoming bread (or so I called it) is fit to my taste bud and I can't forgot the savory of their crispy fish steak. The only food that doesn't taste my bud was the mushroom soup, for me it's just too sweet.

Entah kenapa review disini kok bagus-bagus semua. Padahal menurut saya ini adalah the worst ever steak  I have eaten. Saya pesan US T-Bone, US Tenderloin dan Steak ala Gandy. Semuanya keras dan sama sekali tidak juicy, tasteless. Untuk minuman, average lah tidak terlalu istimewa. Hanya saja pelayanan dan ambience nya good lah.

Yang selalu bikin keinget setiap liat Gandy adalah Bokap gw karena dia suka bangetngetnget dan waktu kecil gw sering banget diajak ke Gandy Menteng. Setelah sekian lama gak ke Gandy (blame it on macet!), pas kebetulan lagi di Teras Kota dan tau ada Gandy langsunggg melipir tanpa babibu!Gw mesen all time favourite Steak ala Gandy (IDR 98,000). Dagingnya adalah Grilled Beef Patty yang ukurannya besar dan mengenyangkan buat gw. Tender dan juicy dan rasanya simple yet tasty apalagi ada rasa “grill”nya. Dibalik Beef Patty terdapat potongan Jamur yang juicy. Beef Patty dan Jamurnya disiram dengan Mushroom Sauce (pilihan lainnya adalah Blackpepper Sauce). Oiya beware of the Cow Hotplate, sooo freakin hottt!Untuk side dishesnya ada French Fries (pilihan lainnya adalah Mashed Potato dan Baked Potato), Steamed Corn, Steamed Carrot, dan Steamed Broccoli. All super tender! Dan juaranya adalah Acar Bawang! SUPER ENAK! Gak ada restoran Steak lain yang nyediain Acar Bawang sebagai side dish. BEST!!!Shoutout to the hospitality here! Friendly waiters and quick service! Four thumbs up!

Never really love their steak but decided to try their grilled salmon and found it unbelievably delicious. The portion was generous, the taste was amazing. So fresh, juicy, with unique charcoal grill aroma and taste. I asked for mushroom sauce and it was served with a lot of big mushroom pieces, unlike in other restaurants where mushroom sauce are mushroomless. And it wasnt too pricey.Too bad the side dishes were very basic. The sauteed vegetables and baked potatoes were tasteless. Please improve the side dishes.
